General

This ship is another gutting and refitting of someone else's exterior hull, though this time there are slightly more dramatic changes in external appearance to accommodate new systems. That said, it remains mostly the same, especially, again, from the upper or front sides.

Features

The Dragon Industries version of the Anaconda boasts: This version comes only with Lightweight Bulkheads; you can use something like SEToolbox - or even text editing with find-and-replace - to convert it to Military Grade Composite if you so desire, but that will significantly hurt your jump range, your turn rate, and your acceleration.

Taken out of Elite-speak, this version of the ship has hugely better handling, much more like a 'real' Anaconda (compared with my G5-engineered one ingame), and has far better performance in all respects - storage, processing, defence, and more - due to much more efficient use of internal space and a much more carefully-designed internal infrastructure that makes maximum use of conveyors and functional blocks. It also has features completely absent from the original, such as a hydrogen thrust launch system, ship hangar, retractable landing gear, and oxygen support.

It uses light armor instead of heavy, but that is simple to convert. Do note that doing so will triple the ship mass and consequently dramatically reduce handling quality and jump range.

Should you wish to do so, you can also easily replace the two turrets on the underside near the hangar, (where the 4A hardpoint slot is on the E:D Anaconda) with some other weapon, such as a modded gun, a torpedo launcher, or some other contraption.

This ship comes with a partial gravity drive - it has artificial mass blocks for use in an external gravity field, allowing it to be rapidly accelerated by a dedicated structure.

This ship, much like its E:D counterpart, functions wonderfully in a variety of roles, ranging from cargo/gas hauler to mobile base to gunship to long-range transport.

Mods

This ship does use two mods, but both are entirely optional; neither is going to break the ship or any core functionality if not installed.
